At FluroSat, we believe that deep science is vital to sustainable food and fibre production. We’re using Australia’s best research to create user-centered software that helps farmers make informed decisions based on highly differentiated analysis. We apply the latest in machine learning and AI to fuse together multiple sources of data and create selective, accurate and actionable insights.

We are seeking a Product Manager to lead our cross-functional team from product definition through to launch. You will work directly with company leadership, customer success, data science and remote sensing teams to seamlessly translate FluroSat innovation into beautiful, customer-centered products.

This full-time role is based in Sydney and offers a flexible work environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Work cross-functionally with each team in the company to develop product strategy and prioritize features
  • Manage the product development process from conception through design, release, and iteration
  • Work with the team of remote sensing and data scientists on novel remote sensing data
  • Develop data processing modules to process satellite, plane and drone imagery
  • Integrate the scientific code (in Python) with the cloud-based data processing pipelines
  • Use/work with image matching, stitching and geo-referencing approaches similar to SIFT, SURF and other from OpenCV

You must have:

  • Product management experience with a B2B SaaS product, ideally in a new product category
  • Careful and flexible thought on prioritization, tradeoffs and the user experience
  • Experience working on data or analytics products
  • Familiarity with common analytics tools: Google Analytics, Mixpanel
  • Deep passion for and understanding of the art and science of product management
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills

You should also have some:

  • Prior work experience in a startup
  • Experience working with local and remote teams
  • International work experience
  • Background in agriculture or a passion to be involved in food and fibre production
