FluroSat is an award-winning crop-health monitoring start-up. Our vision is to apply modern technologies like satellite and drone imaging combined with proximal (on-the-ground) sensing to help the world sustainably feed and clothe itself.

We are looking for a Digital Agronomist with agronomic experience to join our team. The candidate will work with the company leadership, product development and marketing teams on fostering the business growth through customer support and agronomic insight/assistance.
While there will be training and some contact hours required in Sydney, the option to live regionally and work from home agreements are available for the right candidate.

What you’ll do:

  • work closely with product/customer success team to provide agronomic insight and support ag-specific data-flow and work-flows
  • proactively resolve customer inquiries and educate the users (agronomists and farmers) to ensure they are getting the value from the product
  • act as point of contact for customers and partners for questions on agronomy, and agricultural science
  • advocate for sustainable agronomic practices and adoption of precision agriculture with FluroSat products
  • follow and maintaining a scalable approach to agronomic knowledge database creation
  • make sure that the agricultural sections of the product support documentation and agronomic knowledge database are organised, available and clear to the users
  • assist with the development of customer case studies by providing agronomic and agricultural insight into processes observed in remote sensing data and layers collected from machinery

Must-haves for this role:

  • Experience as Agronomist or Agricultural Science researcher
  • Experience in analysing spatial data layers including NDVI, EC, Yield Data
  • Awareness/Knowledge of APSIM, NutriLOGIC and/or other Ag science models
