At FluroSat, we believe that deep science is vital to sustainable food and fibre production. We’re using Australia’s best research to create user-centered software that helps farmers make informed decisions based on highly differentiated analysis. We apply the latest in machine learning and AI to fuse together multiple sources of data and create selective, accurate and actionable insights.

We are looking for a full-time .Net Full-Stack Developer to join our Canberra team based on the ANU Campus. Here you will work within an agile team with flexible conditions to develop and expand our products and help integrate with upcoming opportunities.

What you’ll do:

  • Work within a team of software engineers in an agile environment
  • Integrate with leading agricultural platforms and APIs to transfer data into and out of our engine
  • Develop new features and support our legacy software suite (.Net MVC, WebAPI AngularJS) and supporting mobile apps (Ionic, AngularJS)
  • Help with triaging bugs, refactoring legacy code and providing QA when required
  • Offer suggestions when designing intuitive user experience workflows and software architectural patterns

Successful applicants must have:

  • 3+ years of .Net C# development building WebAPI and MVC applications
  • Knowledge and experience with RESTful APIs and OAuth
  • Being comfortable operating an SQL Server using Entity Framework
  • Proficiency in AngularJS, jQuery
  • Experience with CSS, LESS, SASS
  • An eye for UX/UI
  • Git account and knowledge of best practices using Git
  • Good communication skills and “can do” team player attitude
  • Hungriness to learn. Every task will be a new challenge offering something new to master

Desirable skills (bonus if you have them!):

  • Mobile development with Ionic or React Native
  • Working with spatial data
  • .Net Core experience
  • Automatic builds with either Azure DevOps or Octopus Deploy
  • Azure cloud development and design
  • Interest in data science
